This weekend (6 & 7 July 2013) leading organic baby food brand, Plum, is proud to be sponsoring the Kids’ Stage at Paddle Round the Pier, the world’s largest free beach festival held annually in Brighton (Plum baby food was presented to HRH Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall only this week ahead of their impending grandparenthood). Thousands of babies and tots at the festival will be able to enjoy a free pouch or pot of organic baby food, while mums and dads can talk to leading child nutritionist and paediatric dietician Sarah Almond, who will be at the Plum marquee (next to the Kids’ Stage) on Saturday from 11am to 4pm to offer advice on weaning and nutrition.
What is more, courtesy of 100 tonnes of imported sand, Plum will be hosting sandcastle competitions from 11am to 12pm on Saturday and 2pm to 3pm on Sunday. It is always one of the most popular activities at the festival, giving families the chance to indulge their creativity and engineering skills! The contest is open to all, with prizes presented for the best entries.
The Plum Kids’ Stage will host a wide variety of activities and performances that will keep young festival goers amused throughout the weekend, including Tatty Bumpkin baby yoga classes, circus skills, magicians, face painting and, of course, a traditional Punch and Judy show.
Lindsay Egmore-Frost, Plum’s head of marketing, says, “We’re thrilled to be a part of Paddle Round the Pier as it’s a fantastic event for all the family and raises many thousands of pounds for charity. We’ll be on hand throughout the weekend to refuel the little ones so they can enjoy a fun-packed day at the beach.
“Plum is all about feeding the futures of the most amazing people on the planet, babies and tots. Our recipes are packed full of flavour and, thanks to their high quality ingredients and the use of super grain quinoa, they’re nutritionally-superior to give babies the very best start in life. As we like to say, amazing deserves amazing.”
All Plum recipes are 100% organic, contain no added sugar or salt and are free from all additives, artificial flavourings, colours and preservatives ensuring that babies get all the nourishment they need.
